Fallen Angel #18 is out this week. It answers a lot of questions and raises some new ones. This one was a long time coming when I could discuss it at all since I read every issue of Fallen Angel from script to final product so I was a couple months ahead of everyone else. We recieved the pages for the next issue of the Hulk he is writing. The artwork is great and the story rawks.

I didn’t get that far into project #2. I think I’ll be able to do more today. I have a few errands to run as does Peter. His take him further a field than mine do. I have to schedule myself rather tight today with the usual Caroline factor. Right now as I type this she is playing in her pen with her blocks. She has grown so much in the short time she has been with me.

Her toys have gone from soft baby toys to slightly harder toddler toys. We got her some wooden puzzles and blocks to play with. She still loves her variety of balls and bears but she is playing with her new toys with great concentration and focus. She also puts her dolls and stuff animals to “bed”. She takes them and puts them under her pink blanket, gives them a kiss, and says to them, “Night Night.”

She had two learning experiences yesterday. Neither are ones I wanted her to have. She had one of the cats cornered, laughing and screaming with joy, and not letting the cat go. He raked her with a claw breaking the skin slightly. Peter grabbed Caroline and cleaned the cut leaving me to punish/scare the cat since the cats respect me the most out of the humans in the house. The cat knew it had crossed the line so he got yelled at, picked up with a butt swat and dropped into the kitty time out zone. He sulked a bit but when he was let out he allowed Caroline to pet him. She has a small scratch and hasn’t pounded on the cats since.

The second happened at the bowling alley. I wasn’t there when it happened. I just saw the aftermath. Caroline likes to crawl up onto chairs and sit. Apparently she fell while getting off the chair and bonked her chin on the way down. She split her lower lip which bled profusely. What I see is Ariel holding Caroline with blood all over Caroline’s face. Peter grabbed Caroline from Ariel, took her into the restroom, and cleaned up her face. Once the initial shock wore off and she was cleaned up, Caroline wanted down and ran back to the chairs were she had fallen and climbed back up onto the chair. She tends to “get back up on the horse” rather quickly.

The day is crisp and clear. Which is a great contrast from the weather yesterday. I just need to clear the Niquil fog from my brain and I will be ready to go.

I am grateful for my daughter’s ability to bounce back.
