The Eve of Christmas Eve 2012

I sort of fell off the grid for a bit.
Right now we are in Jacksonville visiting Shana. Today we are driving up to Atlanta to spend Christmas with my parents and brothers and sister.
We are taking out time getting to where we need to get. Considering the traffic and the like, it is the best way to go. We saw some lovely parts of Georgia having gone off the beaten path. There was one road of old growth trees with Spanish moss hanging in the trees that was breath taking. This got us around some serious traffic jams.
Caroline is having fun. Ariel is having fun. Peter and I are having fun. Which is nice.
In falling off the grid, I have very little idea what is going on in the fandom world right now. I do read the New York Times and various others world newspapers so I am up on the news. I like reading about how the world views things in the US.
I needed three tissues to get through Saving Mr. Banks. I have seen Harlan’s video and I know the real history. It doesn’t stop me from enjoying the film and the acting. I know that they were manipulating my emotions but I really didn’t mind. The acting was superb and that is the reason to see it. Large screen is not a necessity for this one. It is a rather intimate picture.
I am grateful for things that make my loved ones smile.
