puppetmakerI am looking forward to this evenings viewing of Doctor Who.
Those who have known me for a bit know how much I love that show.
Doctor Who has introduced me to people I would not have met otherwise and through that I have made many good friends.
Doctor Who gave me a professional writing credit. I have a story published in the Big Finish Anthology "Short Trips: Qualities of Leadership" entitled “On a Pedestal” about the 2nd Doctor, Jamie, Victoria, and William Wallace. I have even signed copies of that.
My Doctor Who puppets have been admired by many. I have used them to amuse and entertain many people. Most recently at DragonCon we did a sketch in the Puppet Slam called “Lord of Time”. A number of actors own puppets of their Doctor Who characters. It is a conversation starter.
We also did a sketch at Farpoint many many years ago where we mashed up Dr. Who and the Grinch that Stole Christmas.
I was a member of the Mighty Rassilon Art Players for a number of years along with the Terminus TARDIS.
Today we are going to boil and color eggs. Tomorrow is Easter and I will do my annual Easter Egg Hunt. I just have to find the baskets for it and set the rest of it up.
I am grateful that Doctor Who is back and able to celebrate its 50th anniversary this year.
