puppetmakerI haven’t been a stage ninja aka catcher in a Masquerade in more years than I care count. Last night due to life, they were short a couple of ninjas and I said I would give a hand. I walked the stage and found a couple of problems with being able to see in the dim if not dark so I found a role of bright yellow spike tape and fixed the problems as stage managers only know how. I explained to a teen, who was teching for the first time, why I put the tape down as I did passing on the information to the next generation as it were.
I got to have a short video visit with Caroline and Peter. I moderated a panel that went very well I think even though I move it slight in another direction. I went to the bar and had a drink with some old friends and talked about everything under the sun.
Today I have three panels starting at 11 and going to 3. I will then pack up my art show stuff and head back home where I will probably get there before my husband and daughter since they have been invited to participate in a music video shoot in the city. But with traffic, who really knows.
I am grateful for decent scotch and good friends.
