I was talking to a friend the other day. We had been conversing about what we had been up to and the fact that the Mets were winning the game. She said, “Oops. I have to take my multivitamin.” and pulled it out of her case. She had forgotten to take it consistently for a short period of time and ended up with a killer summer cold. I take a multivitamin every day. I only seem to forget when my morning routine is interrupted. I did find it interesting that when I was on the prenatal vitamins before I had Caroline, I didn’t get sick. I had no colds, no flu, not a stomach ache unless Caroline was making her presence known. That period of time is what made me a believer in the power of the vitamin. Since then I have managed not to get that ill and the one time this past winter I got a killer cold was when I went off my vitamins for a while. So your mom was right, take your vitamins.
