And the Skies Opened Up

puppetmakerWe have (or rather are having while I type this) a lot of rain falling from the sky. I can see the lighting of the sky so I am hoping by the time I finish this, it will be done. So far not so much.
It was nice to have a sunny day yesterday. Sunday was nice too. But today looks a little nasty. The lawn was mowed on Sunday so I know that at least I don't have to worry about the grass over growing in the rain. I know this rain is good for the land and will help the water table but I feel sorry for anyone out in it right now.
Not that I don't have a lot of things to do inside. Yesterday I sorted out one of the cabinets and got rid of spices that expired in 1998. I have a lot more room in that cabinet now and I know what I have and don't have in my spice rack. I did find out that I have 3 garlic powers and no onion powder. My Indian spices are fine.
Lots of thunder rumbling but no lighting that I can see. It is rolling thunder. The cats are at my feet in a clump. They don't like thunder.
Today Caroline's Kindergarten class is singing for their parents. Peter and I are going to go and video the event so Ariel can see it.
And the storm has passed.
I am grateful that I can see this concert this afternoon.
