I-Con was my very first convention... 12 years ago? 11 years ago? It was just The Event of the year for me and my fangirls at my high school. I remember meeting Ariel at some event of Peter's, and going to a Harlan talk where he kept cursing and made some apology towards Peter, and one of the girls said "Oh, we hear worse at home". One year all my little high schooler budget went to the CBLDF auction so I could get my name in one of the "New Frontier" books. :-D
I haven't been able to make it in years, but I hope to again, and I am happy to read about you and yours going. Maybe I'll take my future children there someday, work in a visit to the grandparents. :-)
