Do I look forward or look back?

Looking back I did some pretty cool stuff and met some pretty neat people this year. I went to a wedding of two dear friends one of which I use to watch on TV when I was a kid and thought his character was really neat. The man behind the character is even neater as is his spouse. I met a Doctor Who writer and his lovely wife who celebrated Passover with us in a New York Hotel. I caught up with another writer friend of mine who looked like he had gone six rounds with Mike Tyson at the time due to his dog, a tire swing, and a metal pipe.

I got to play at the New York Toy Fair, ChattaCon, Farpoint, LunaCon, ICon, NYCC, Wizard World Philly, Shoreleave, Toronto Expo, and DragonCon and I think that was it this year. I like going to conventions. I like meeting fans and other like-minded people. I enjoy the whole con atmosphere.

I saw a lot of good films this year. Best so far has to be Slumdog Millionaire which was amazing. For animated, I would say Wall-E was the best of the bunch however Bolt is Caroline's favorite. I saw some good TV most of which is canceled at this point.

I added a number of interesting things to my CV/Resume. Now I just need to find a job that can use my rather unique skill set.

Looking forward to next year, well there are a couple of things I want to do next year. I'll probably sit down this afternoon and make a list of them. Some of it is towards finding a job/career again.

Here's to 2009 being better for us than 2008.

I am grateful for all the neat stuff I got to do in 2008.
