I was always amazed by the whole "Beauty and the Beast" fan base. I had an acquaintance in New Mexico who was part of the big fan club thing. She would spend hour after hour writing imaginary scenes that would never run nor be published. I never understood it, but the friendships that were forged through that club were global and still exist today.
