Writing or rewriting your bio for a convention program is not a fun thing. At least it is not among my top 10 things I enjoy doing before a convention but it is necessary. I submitted my updated bio and other information to DragonCon today having thought that I had already done so. Apparently not which is why I haven't heard from the usual suspects about programming.
(side note to my sister: I am trying to get your badge set up like last years).

I know I am in an industry where you are suppose to toot your horn loudly so you can continue to work and get noticed for more work. Sometimes I just have a hard time letting others know exactly who I am and what I have done. People are impressed with me for different reasons. I can remember an actor of some note that I have known for a number of years for some strange reason read the bios in the convention book and sought me out afterwards to tell me how impressed he was that I had gone to the Yale School of Drama under Lloyd Richards. He had applied a couple of times and hadn't made the cut. I have done a lot of cool stuff and have met a lot of neat people. I don't feel who I know makes me a better person. I do feel that one can tell a man by the company that they week but bragging is something that was frowned upon where I grew up and it was understood that friendships with certain individuals stayed within that group. If I tell you that I know someone then I do and I usually quantify how well I know them.

Got a lot done yesterday and still have a long way to go today but I think I can get it all done by tomorrow. Then I have to dig up all the stuff we need for Shoreleave and pack our bags. I am going to try my best not to forget something but I am betting that we will.

I am grateful for sewing machine tension that works (yes we have been having fights my sewing machine and I)
