Or rather I got nine and half puppets done. The half was not needed for the sketch but it would have been fun to have in the mix.

I made six puppets for the sketch and three puppets to give to various people.

Most of this was done in less than a month. I had the Good Omens puppets done before we went on our journey to a point but they still needed finishing work.

The Three that Gave Away

I make puppets for people for various reasons. They are my thank you to those people for what they have done. Some are apology puppets as in fandom is not a crazy as the people attacking you.

The 10th Doctor

This is David Tennant’s second puppet. The first was lost. I told him at GalaxyCon Raleigh I would make him a replacement since his children have so much fun playing with the Mom puppet I made them. He loved it. And a few days later his wife put up a video of the kids and her playing with the puppet. So I know it went to a good home.

Spock from Discovery

I met Ethan Peck at Shoreleave. We judged the Masquerade together. I had Aziraphale and Crowley with me. He played around with the puppets and had a good time. I made him a Spock puppet which he promptly started to use amuse his cast mates right before they went on for their panel.

Regina the Evil Queen from Once Upon a Time

This was one of my apology/appreciation puppets. Lana Parrilla played Regina on OUAT and got a lot of hate from people because she played the role so well. I had gotten puppets to Rebecca Mader, Sean McGuire, and Colin O’Donoghue. I really wanted to get one to Lana.

She loved it. Apparently she has loved puppets since she was a child. And this was so in her wheelhouse. Rebecca saw the puppet and said, “I have one too.” Lana now wants to do puppet shows with Rebecca.

Hellmo's World

This was a mash-up of Mike Mignola’s Hellboy and Elmo using the format of Elmo’s world.

Peter wrote the script after we talked about what puppets we felt should be in the sketch to hit a sweet spot with fans.

I proceeded to build
Hellmo
Crowly
Aziraphale
Lucifer from Supernatural
Lucifer from Lucifer
John Constantine

The two Lucifers had rip off heads for a bit in the show so that had some extra bits to do.

The sketch went over very well.

Building these puppets reminded me that I am good at this. I know how to build a puppet and dress it. And we know how to put on a show.

I would like to thank Peter for writing the sketch, John Hudgens for recording it and getting the audio ready, all the folks who lent their voices to this, and my puppeteers, Caroline, John, Paul, Jamie, Cherlyn, and Gina for helping me bring my idea to life.

I am grateful for all the puppet in my life.
