Monday Morning Musings No Snow Thank you
Jan. 14th, 2019 10:42 amSort of like Random Thoughts before the Coffee kicks in but I have had coffee and it is Monday.
Currently Mewlan’s favorite cat toy is a grape stem. I am going to have to take it away soon but right now she is having a blast. I think she will go back to hunting a piece of fun fur that looks like a small rodent.
I know what I want to get done this week before the next weekend. January is moving fast.
One thing is getting my website up and running so I can have a flyer at Farpoint. I also want to do one for the family Patreon account again for the year.
Then there are the puppets that need to be sewn. However I have to find a part to my sewing machine that one of the cats managed to pull off. Or I have to buy a replacement for the part and I am stymied until I get it. That’s part of today to see if I can find this part (It is the cap that holds the thread onto the spindle so you can sew.
Everyone seems to be taken with this program on de-cluttering and a number are trying to clear their space. I watched an episode and was not impressed with it. Also 30 books? What the? Sorry that won’t fly around here. First off Peter has written more than 30 books. I have more than 30 puppetry books that are relevant to my work. Not to mention the books signed to us over the years. I am a big re-reader. There are some books that I read for comfort or to remind me of something that means a lot to me.
Another suggestions was to get rid of all your DVDS and Cds because this stuff is all on line so why have a physical copy? First off not everything is on the internet. Second I don’t feel like paying again for things I own so I have a digital copy. Streaming services are fickle and things they have one month, they don’t the next. I have an eclectic CD collection which is not on Itunes or another music service. Again I don’t want to pay twice for something I already own.
There are things I can do including culling our t-shirt collection. Caroline has been doing that with hers on her own. I think I am going to bring a bunch of t-shirts to just give away at Farpoint because we are not going to wear them so someone should.
I am grateful for organizational tips that work.
