Finally it is the day I have been thinking it has been for almost the past week.
Caroline is winding down her vacation and getting ready for school and then her winter Holiday.
I got into and out of a discussion that made me think about people who say they of fans of X but all they do is complain about X and how it is not like the X when they started. I can’t understand that type of thinking. If something I did like back in the day and it is still going but I don’t care for the current version, I just don’t watch/read/listen. I do not go on endlessly about how bad the current version of X is. Eventually I hope it will go to a point that I like it again. If not, I still have all the material I loved when I got into the fandom, which doesn’t not change unless someone goes back and re-edits it.
Caroline has her holiday month coming up or the month of presents as I call it since she has her birthday, Hanukah, and Christmas. In less than a week and a half, she will be old enough to apply for her learner’s permit to drive. Yes, Caroline is turning 16 years old this year. Let that sink in.
The cats are currently watching out the window at one of the fattest squirrels I have seen. When he sits up he becomes a triangle of white fur. The first time I saw him, I mistook him for a white plastic bag and was very surprised when the bag morphed into a squirrel as I walked towards it. Makes me wonder about the winter.
As to the weather, after being in the deep freeze for a couple of days we have cycled back to fall weather where you need some sort of jacket/hoodie/sweatshirt when the wind blows but other than that it is comfortable. We are going back into the deep freeze later this week but no snow is in the forecast yet.
I think I have the day planned out. I might even get to see some football being played. I do know I want to get one creative thing done for me. Plus I owe Bob G. a short story that I am working on which he will have before his Christmas Break starts. There are times I have to remind myself that I am a published author and have stories in various anthologies. Next goal is to finish the novel I have been working on.
There is cleaning to be done as well. I need to start somewhere and work my way around. But then there is always cleaning to be done. I have come to the conclusion I will never be Martha Stewart and barely Heloise.
I am grateful for cleaning products that live up to their hype.
