Mother's Day 2018
May. 13th, 2018 05:02 pmYears ago I walked into my booth getting ready to do a show and I found a card on my script wishing me a Happy Mother’s Day. I told the actor that I am not a mother. He said you may not have any children but ask around and you will find out that you mother us all when you stage-manage. We know we are taken care of and many times you do things that help us without asking anything in return. He also informed me that when I did become a parent, I would be a good one.
According to others, he was right. I have been both a stepmother and a mother to a group of girls that mean the world to me. I am very proud of all that they have achieved and all that they will achieve.
Caroline and I have a pretty quiet day planned. It has be declared a Mommy/Daughter Day so we will do things that we like to do together along with a few things that need to be done to keep the household in order. One of the things is sorting out the art and pictures that one of the cats knocked off from what I though was a secure location to put it. Now need to figure out where I can put this art and not have the cats knock it off. We may put up some of the family photos that we keep saying that we should put up. Not much has gone back up on the walls since we had the bathroom redone.
We were thinking of taking a walk this afternoon but the weather is not looking conducive for walking and the pollen count is high. We’ll see what it looks like later.
