Take the Ring off of It
Jul. 2nd, 2016 09:03 amI bought a college class ring or rather my parents bought it for me. I put it on my finger and left it there for 31 years.
This past week for the first time it was starting to bother me. It didn’t help that the ring got caught and yanked up my finger a bit and, for some unknown reason, it had developed a rough edge.
We went to a jeweler and he carefully managed to remove the ring and apparently just in time as there was damage under the ring that was getting worse.
There is a photo under the cut and I am warning for a mangled finger.
I never lost circulation in that finger the entire time I wore the ring. I never had a problem with it until last week.
Looking at the finger this morning, I have a feeling that I am going to have a scar there but I would rather look at a scar than no finger.
I am grateful that I got the ring off.
