We Survived Snowpocalypse Jan 2016
Jan. 24th, 2016 10:16 amThat was a lot of snow in a very short time period. The drifts are amazing. There is some lovely natural art created by the wind.
The official total is 26.4 inches. However the wind pushed that around so some spots on our lawn have nothing or little and others have over 3 feet of snow and there is one 5-foot drift in the back.
Right now the only thing I dug out was the front porch and the steps so I could salt them to let them dry out so they are safe to walk on. And that’s as far as I got due to the massive amount of snow I had to shovel to get that far, being from the basement door to the steps.
We do have much warmer weather on the horizon so this will melt. We just have to get to that point and hope that the storm drains can handle it.
I am grateful that it isn’t deeper.
Behind the cut some photos of I took this morning.
