I like the Quiet
Jan. 17th, 2016 10:41 amAs in not coughing. The time between coughing fits is getting longer and longer but the fits themselves are painful. My throat is starting to heal. My tongue looks like a war zone but it is slowly getting better. Eating is an adventure because it hurts to eat so liquids and smooth things are my favorite now. So I am getting over this crud but it is taking a long time to do so.
I like quiet in general. There are times that no noise helps me sort things out. But there are other times that I need some form of noise to collect my thoughts. I find when I am building puppets I tend to marathon a tv show or movies. When I write fiction I listen to music. Web logging I like to have quiet to assemble my thoughts but I can work with the noise of the house if I need to.
The end of the Packers/Cardinals game was exciting. The Packers could have had it but the Cardinals won the coin toss and drove their way down the field to a touchdown and the win. The Patriots won and I knew they were going to after the half. Kansas City just couldn’t get it together.
Baseball is on the horizon. I am looking forward to getting back to watching baseball. I just hope the Mets haven’t screwed themselves with their lack of trades and trying to hang onto personnel.
I am looking forward to getting back to the gym this week. I haven’t been able to due to illness and I am itching to get back. I just have to remember not to push it too hard at the beginning so I don’t hurt myself.
Thank you to my sister Sheila for pointing me to where the word “adulting” originated. It is from a website called Adulting. It is a pretty interesting website with solid advice. I honestly feel better now for knowing.
So little steps heading back to health. The longer I don’t have to take cough medicine or a decongestant, the happier I am.
I am grateful for each breath without coughing.
