RTBCKI The Dreary Monday Morning edition
Nov. 17th, 2014 07:58 amAt least, I tell myself, it is not snow.
I watched a couple of football games yesterday. Overall not too happy about the outcomes of most of the games but a few made me smile. There is a sports championship drought in New York and it is only getting worse. But I don’t feel as bad as Raider fans who watched their team lose their way out of the playoffs yesterday and there are still six weeks to go.
My brain feels fuzzy and a little unfocused. I am working on getting some clarity back but not coming as easily as it usually does. I am hoping some seriously strong coffee and a set task will help along with exercise.
I love my daughter. I think that is pretty clear. I love my self starting daughter who, this morning, got up, showered, dressed, fixed her breakfast and her lunch, practiced her flute, double checked so she was sure she had everything she needed for school today and left for extra Math help. When she gets home, she takes about half an hour to decompress then does her homework, practices her flute, and does whatever afterschool activity she has that day. She goes to bed about 9 without fuss and gets up at 6 to start it all over again. She still finds time to play and read in there somewhere. I am very proud of her.
I watched Once Upon a Time last night and apparently didn’t see the same show as some other folks from all the fan reaction this morning. People seem to forget what one character went through last year including have no will of his own. Of course he is going to do anything to become his own man again. Also, as much as a woobie as he is, he was set up from the beginning to be one of the villains of the piece. Morally ambiguous could have been this character’s middle name. So when we get the explanation, which is coming like a freight train out of control, remember that. Also I know the other character that he interacts with was nowhere to be seen this episode but considering what he was doing, you think he would want her around?
I spent the first half of Atlantis trying to remember who all these characters were. Didn’t help that they introduced a few new ones without explanation until the much latter half of the episode.
So today I think is going to be cleaning up Peter’s office so he can move back down. It is a good rainy day project.
I am grateful for kitty detente.
