So it is going to be a bit of a brain dump about a lot of things that are going to be rattling around in my head.

This year has been different on so many levels. I can’t say that I have led an uninteresting life. Those who have known me over the years can tell you that my life has been many things but boring is not an adjective that they can place on it. This year has seen so many changes both good and bad.

I have been rereading “Blink” by Malcolm Gladwell about snap decisions and first impressions. He postulates that some people seem to be able to make decisions based on their first blink or gut feeling about something. Sometimes they are good at it and sometimes they are bad at it. I am waiting for David and Goliath to be returned to our local library so I can read that one as well.

Bowling hasn’t being going well for me at all. I think I know what is going wrong with my release and can correct it but consistency is out the window. Either way I have my league tonight and I am trying to stay out of my head.

The NFL season has not been kind to me. At this point I don’t really care who ends up in the playoffs since all the teams I cheer for aren’t. 74 days until pitchers and catchers report for Spring Training.

Speaking of football, college this time, I did see the Auburn return against Alabama in the final seconds of the game. WOW! That was an amazing play and an amazing bit of luck for Auburn. So Auburn goes to 3 and ‘Bama to 4. I am still trying to figure out the playoff system that is going on or about to go on.

Thus endth the sports section of my musings.

This week is about the house. There are things I need to do while it is not bitter cold outside the house and a lot to do before Thursday night in the house. I have a list and it is a long one. So I am starting at point A and working my way through the alphabet.

Well that was a twist on Once Upon a Time last night. It amazes me that the show still surprises me. Two more episodes before the break until March. March!?!?! Anyone else remember when we got our 22 or so episodes and then repeats during the summer? They might take a break for Thanksgiving or Christmas but we didn’t have this two section seasons until Cable.

Frozen is one of the best Disney films in a long time. Yes, there are a lot of songs (think Beauty and the Beast) but there are also a lot of twists and turns and a couple of Disney tropes that get broken and smashed into dust. It feels like a Disney film rather than a Pixar film.

It looks like snow but I know that it is not going to.

The cats are being rather clingy. Millie has taken to sleeping near me if I am downstairs. I think they are still sorting out that their tribe went from 5 to 2 rather quickly this year, which is one of the big changes. Buying less food and it is easier to clean the litter boxes these days but I miss the three cats we have lost this year.

Ok my brain can feel the coffee kicking in. Time to get the day going and see how much I can get done in a 8 hour period.

I am grateful for my parents and they know why.
