Today we are going to Connecticut to see Ariel in Nunsense. She can strike “wearing a nun’s habit in a musical” off her bucket list.

St. Patrick’s Day has always been a mixed bag for me. I have seen the St. Paddy’s Day Parade in New York City. In fact I have had to find ways around it several years running to get from one place to another in the city. I have also had to get round the drunken revelers “celebrating” St. Paddy’s Day all over New York City most of them didn’t look very Irish to me. And I never did get the green beer idea. Seems a perfectly good waste of beer to me.

What St. Patrick’s Day is to me is my brother’s named Saints Feast Day. Pure and Simple.

Tomorrow I will go by my favorite Irish pub to see if they have any of their soda bread left and have my plate of corn beef and cabbage for the year. They make their own soda bread and it is really good.

Fig is working on her tricks. We have sit, lie down, and up. High five hasn’t worked so well nor has jump rope but we are working on it again today. We have to finish typing up her data and conclusion to the experiment which I have a feeling is going to be that given the time we had, you can’t teach a cat to jump rope but you can teach a cat tricks.

Peter is sleeping in from going into the city to the Coheed & Cambria concert. He had fun and enjoyed spending some time with the gang.

I am grateful for things that make Peter’s life better.
