Alllllmost Out of Here
Feb. 8th, 2013 01:28 pmYes, we are watching the storm carefully but we aren’t scheduled to leave until tomorrow afternoon.
Right now the Doctor has cleared Peter to be discharged. We are waiting on the nurse to fill out and sign the final paperwork and then Peter gets to leave the inpatient rehab facility and come back to the real world. I handed him his wallet today which he hasn’t handled since December 2012. It is strange what can signal the return to normal.
We have a couple of things to do this afternoon including going to the Sun Ray Cinema and seeing the nominees for animated shorts for the Oscars.
Later
Boy there is a lot of paperwork to get someone out of a rehab.
Peter has been officially released with a lot of paperwork for follow ups and the like.
The next couple of weeks are going to be busy.
We are, like the rest of the eastern seaboard, keeping an eye on the weather.
My thanks to everyone at Brooks Rehab for all their hard work getting Peter back up and walking again. We know he has a long way to go, but they put him on the right path to get himself back to where he was before all this happened.
Now Peter and I get a little time to ourselves to just be with each other. Tomorrow we go home and restart our lives.
I am grateful for everything Peter regained while in rehab.
