A Rare Weekend at Home
Dec. 7th, 2012 10:49 amNo traveling this weekend or the next week. After that all bets are off right now.
There are projects around here I want to get done over the weekend. I know that Caroline and I have a couple of things that we want to work on together including the sewing project we have been talking about for a while. We are going to make a pillow bag and put what is left of her pink blankie in it.
We went to our parent/teacher conference yesterday. Overall Caroline is doing well in school. There are a couple of things that she needs to keep working on and we need to help her with. Her teacher is happy with her progress. She does have to practice the flute more.
It looks like snow but it is not that cold so I am going to assume that it is going to rain later today. Either way I have cat boxes to deal with.
I have been reading a couple of books that have given me a lot to think about the first is Rebel Buddha by Dzogchen Ponlop and the second is Get Some Headspace by Andy Puddicombe. The funny thing is that they dove tail so nicely into each other and both have given me a lot of think about. Including where my headspace is at.
I am grateful for mindful things.
