Happy Thanksgiving 20212
Nov. 22nd, 2012 09:48 amWe have the turkey and all the trimmings. Peter has started walking in the parade. He is on the right side under the arm of Spiderman this year.
This is going to be a quiet day at home with the family. As will most of tomorrow except possibly going to the movies. Saturday Caroline and I will be walking in the town parade with her Girl Scout troop. We also plan to go to several local businesses to shop for presents and Caroline needs new shoes. Saturday is Shop Local Business Day.
As I look around I see my cats lazing around their various spots. Fig is flopped down by Caroline, who is playing with her dollhouse. Ariel is comfortably ensconced on the couch with her electronics and a quilt. Peter is currently walking in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
I have so much to be thankful for. I am thankful that the damage to us from Sandy is pretty minimal although we may have to take down one of our favorite trees in the back. Still our house is intact. There is gas again on the Island. We have heating oil. We have food. We are comfortable.
Today I have things to cook and things to sew. I want to do a little picking up as well but nothing, other than the cooking, is a MUST DO. Which is nice.
So for those celebrating it, I hope you have a good day with very little drama. For those of you not celebrating, I wish you a drama free day.
I am so very grateful for all the things I am thankful for.
