Figaro Settles In
Oct. 2nd, 2010 09:22 amYesterday we let Figaro out into the kitchen with supervision. She is settling into being here. Yesterday morning there was a lot of hiding by the evening she was under foot. Caroline was very patient with Fig. She sat down in the middle of the kitchen and let Fig come to her. By the end of the afternoon, Caroline was reading a book and Fig was curled up beside her sound asleep.
I spent the day doing laundry and super cleaning the kitchen since we seem to have some rather large ants showing up. This allowed Fig to spend time out of the bathroom we have put her in for now. Today I have more laundry to do and I plan to get Ariel’s room in better shape than she left it. Then onto the living room and recover it from the past couple of months.
We have a cunning plan that should allow us to at least be there for Saturday and maybe Sunday for New York Comic Con. More when I know that we have everything in place.
The other cats know something is up. They can hear her mewing. But they aren’t getting too worked up. I am trying to make sure that they get pets too so they don’t feel left out. Treat is fine as long as we pay attention to him when we are in the basement. This includes getting underfoot when I bring the laundry down. I think one good accidental tail stomp and he’ll get out of the way.
How many drugs are touted as the solution to X only to become the hay for the ambulance chasers in less than 5 years? Also some of the side effects of these drugs seem worse than the thing that they are solving? One thing that is being learned is that drugs effect on people is very different. Aspirin works for most of my aches and pains. If it doesn’t then I use Advil, which works for most of the rest of it. For allergies I used Benadryl because it works and continues to work when I need it. For colds I get real Sudafed which turns me into the humming bird but it works. I know there are new medication that have done wonderful things for people but I feel like everyone is hopping from one medication to another way too fast.
Off to fold lots of laundry and continue cleaning our dirty laundry. Hope y’all have a nice day.
I am grateful that Caroline and Figaro are bonding so well. I am proud that she is being very patient and letting Fig come to her rather than chasing the kitten around.
