Caroline informed me that she wanted to dress “goth”. I asked her what that entailed and she told me that it was dressing all in black. So this morning I assembled her clothing and she dressed up “goth”. Think Gilly the Perky Goth from Dork Tower. I didn’t start giggling about it until I got back from taking her to the bus.
I have a writing project that the drop dead is today. So I need to get cracking on it thus the shorter blog entry.
Lets Go Mets! Hard to believe that is the same team that couldn’t get anyone around the bases about a week ago. Seems they have figured out their ball park.
I am cheering for Chicago in the Stanley Cup and Boston for the NBA championship.
The company that services our air conditioner is slated to be here between 11 and 2. I am not holding my breath but I am picking up the living room so they can get to the various vents.
Peter and I had a very nice and rather quiet anniversary. He wasn’t feeling well so we didn’t get to go to the concert we had planned to attended (his doctor told him not to go out in public until he has been on his antibiotics for 48 hours). Instead we went out and spent time together doing various errands that we have needed to do. We had lunch at Bobbie’s Burger Palace, which has a darn fine burger. We had dinner out as a family and finished it off by trying a new Italian Ice Place which was very good.
Happy Birthday to Harlan Ellison who will never read this because he doesn’t play on the Internet much/at all but we love him anyway.
I am grateful for pleasant days with good company.
