New Zealand 2009 Day 3
Oct. 25th, 2009 03:47 amIn which we go to the convention for the day.
The New Zealand convention is much bigger than the Australian convention. It has been running longer and has a few fans. It is set up like an expanded version of the Australian convention. There are a lot of video game companies showing their wares to the attendees. It can be quite loud at times as the various booths compete for sound domination.
Wrestling watching didn’t happen for Caroline yesterday due to the band that was in there before the match started. She has very sensitive ears and that was just too loud for her. We are going to try again today. I also am going to try to make it to a Robot Chicken panel since they are gone as of this evening.
The green room is very nice and gives us a chance to talk to the other guests of the convention. The conversations have those weird flows that seem to go over any and all subjects. Everyone is having fun. We were teasing the voice actors about signing in a bubble behind a fence. They are in this structure that is blown up by fans and looks like a big bubble. There is a fence between them and the crowd which is rather extensive. I can hardly wait to see what they are going to do about the Robot Chicken crowd.
Today Peter is giving commentary on his episode of Babylon 5 called “Soul Mates”. He hasn’t seen it for a while so we are both interested in what he will come up with.
Caroline and I will be wandering the convention. I am hoping to meet up with a fellow Live Journal member sometime today.
I am grateful that Caroline had fun at the convention.
