I can see clearly now. . .
Oct. 5th, 2009 10:09 amThat I found my glasses. I can read without them but threading a needle is a 5 minute chore on a good day. I knew I had them after I got back from Seattle but they vanished from the face of the earth or at least our living room. Then this morning after having moved both couches in hopes of find them there, the cats go into a spat and I ended up having to chase one away from the other who was holed up under my sewing machine and low and behold there they were under the stool.
We saw “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” in 3-D. It was a cute film with all kinds of silliness that makes kids giggle. It was a bit long at parts but overall we enjoyed it and Caroline was still giggling about the film this morning which I think is a fine barometer to compare films with for her target demographic.
I finally saw a football game all the way through but it was the Jets/Saints game so of course the Jets lost. Sorry Orenthal. I think Matt Sanchez learned a lot about pro ball on Sunday. 14 points of that game were handed with a bow to the Saints. They has better send Sanchez a fruit basket after that game. If the Vikings win tonight there will be 5 teams with 4-0 and 5 teams with 0-4 for their records this season. Over all not much that I wasn’t expecting for the week. No really standout games. College football is the usual mess. I don’t agree with the top 10 but I rarely do.
Baseball? That’s still going on? Oh right. Tigers and Twins fans are still sitting on the edge of their seats since there is a playoff for the last spot on Tuesday. I think the Philles will make it past the Rockies but I think if the Cardinals are still in it, they may take the National League title. I think that the Red Soxs and the Yankees are going to meet again for the AL title but I won’t have a clue until I see what their pitching does for the first round.
Dexter had some interesting turns and twists already. I have never seen Lithgow look scarier than he does in this. Project Runway has not blown me away. I don’t know if it is the challenges or that they are trying to create personalities and rivalries where there are none. The only one that had me thinking “How creative” was the paper one. I am behind on Heroes and a couple of other shows. I hope to catch up before we leave.
Bowling tonight and I am wondering if the blump will allow me to bowl. It is much better but I can still feel it when I walk because it was so close to the knee. Well a lot to do and I guess I should get started on it.
I am grateful for DVRs that allow me to catch up on my time without searching for the disk or tape that I recorded the show on.
