MMQB 2008 Week 11
Nov. 24th, 2008 10:11 amWell that was an exciting week of football.
The Titans fell to the Jets. The Jets! Just let that one sink in. I honestly take back everything I said that the beginning of the season about Farve. They did it on the run too. This one was time of possession and amount of the field chewed up. The Titans tried but they just couldn’t get it together. So the Giants and the Titans both have the best record this year in football so far.
Speaking of the Giants, I was a bit worried in the first quarter. That was one of the more exciting games played yesterday. It could have gone either way there for a while. But the Giants pulled it out. Turnovers were the key here I think. Can the Giants keep it up? Only if they keep the team off the injured list. That list is getting kind of scary.
Speaking of Turnovers, the Eagles almost had as many turnovers as they had points. I have a feeling that this subject will be addressed before their next game. Then there the Chiefs who seem to want to give the ball to Bills. The Lions looked good the first quarter and then just fell apart. They play the Titans next and I am not liking their chances of breaking their losing streak. The Dolphins tried and looked good a couple of times but I think that the Pats were just so ticked off from last week that they were having none of it. The Colts/Chargers game came down to the wire and given another set of circumstances, might have gone the other way.
I think Green Bay is going to hand the Saints their heads tonight. The Packers are hopped up from destroying the Bears.
In other news I am a bad sick person. Peter took the girls out yesterday so I could rest so I did laundry and cleaned the kitchen. Peter is making me sit down today and take it easy for my own health. He is such a good husband.
Last night we watched Doctor Who. We saw a Harnell episode (the last episode of the Celestial Toymaker), Curse of the Fatal Death, and the last two episodes of this past season.
I am grateful for a husband who cares about my health apparently more than I do.
