Caroline Imagines
Oct. 4th, 2008 09:14 amThis morning Caroline spread out her princess blanket and rolled her self up in it and had me pick her up and put her on the couch. She declared that she was a Burrito and played at being a Burrito including having me put pretend hot sauce on her which, because it was so hot, caused her to go ouch, ouch, ouch. There was much giggling as this game went on.
Yesterday we were driving in the car and she had her usual stuffed animals with her and she was telling them a story about what the animals had done that day while she was in school. It was quite an adventure of finding a secret hideout of the stuffed animals deep in the jungle through all kinds of traps and travails.
She draws pictures and then tells me the story behind the drawing. I have a feeling once she gets this writing thing down, she is going to start chronicling the adventures in her head.
She is enjoying her time in kindergarten. She is always happy to get on the bus in the morning and happy to see me in the afternoon. She loved her teacher and is getting along with the other kids in her class as far as I can tell.
Right now she is "cooking" food for her stuffed puppies and giraffes so they can have breakfast too. She is telling them about the adventures that they are going to have today since she is home from school.
I am grateful that she has such a vivid imagination.
