Very Wet with a chance of more Wet
Sep. 26th, 2008 10:35 amThe rain is pouring down in sheets of water. Then the skies will lighten and the rain will slack off just a little only to pick-up even harder after teasing us with the possibility that we are seeing the end of the rain.
So it is indoor projects at this time. And probably for the entire weekend. We are hoping that Peter can take his trip this weekend because the weather. So cross your fingers for him and that his endeavor goes as planned. I'll say more after I know if it is a go or not.
The Mets pulled one out of the fire last night. And that was hard to do with all the rain. We have no idea what is going to happen over the next couple of days. Kudos to the grounds crew for making last night's game possible in a rather impossible situation. There were no injuries due to the conditions of the field.
For those of you in Baltimore and around the Baltimore Area, mark your calendars. I bring your attention to this and encourage you to participate.
The Boogie Knights, in conjunction with the Musical Artists Theatre, will be giving a rare charity concert, proceeds of which will go, in memory of our squire Robbie Greenberger, to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Tommy Fund for Childhood Cancer
Here are the details:
WHEN: 8PM Saturday 8 November, 2008
WHERE:
Riverside Stage - located in the basement of
Salem Lutheran Church
1530 Battery Avenue
Baltimore, MD 21230-4615
ADMISSION: $10
Where else can you find a full evening of Boogie Knights live performance for less than the cost of a CD --and-- have it benefit charity as well?
Please plan on attending. Please spread the word. Hope to see you there!
I will be putting up reminders as we get closer to the date but I wanted to put that out there as soon as possible so you can put it on your dance card.
Off to do something constructive rather than go back to bed and pull the covers over my head until the weather improves.
I am grateful for the rain since we do need it for the plants and animals in the area.
