And I need to break it down into the component parts so I can get it done.

First up is getting Caroline on the bus and off to school.

Then I need to sit down and write up a list for the week.

Football musings
There was a lot of talk about the whistle and what might have happened if. My take on the whole matter, it was a mistake. It has happened before and will happen again. There has to be a human element to this game or we can get a bunch of fans playing Madden what-ever-the-current-year-is to determine who is going to the Super Bowl. Ref made a bad call and he admitted and apologized for it.

The NFC is turning out to be more exciting than the AFC this year. The teams are fighting hard and it is only the third week of the season. The AFC seems to be shaking out about as it has in previous seasons. OK, I didn't expect the Pats to lose to the Dolphins and not that badly.

I have to admit that I went into the film with the vaguest of ideas as to what it was about. Caroline really wanted to see it so Ariel and I took her. I really enjoyed it. The audience was mostly made up of a birthday party for an 8 year old boy so we had a lot of kids in the room and a couple of adults. What surprised me was the stuff that had Ariel and me rolling in the aisles we were laughing so hard barely got a chuckle out of the other adults and the kids really didn't know what to make of the film. Some of the themes were rather dark but in that fun sort of Halloween way. It is not going to replace "Nightmare before Christmas" in any way but not a bad little flick.

Allergies or cold
We have something going around but with the change of season, I can't tell which is going on. There was a head cold that made the rounds of the family but I am thinking that Ariel is hitting her fall allergies and Caroline has a small cold.

The Mets
I am expecting them to lose it all within the next week. What is it about the Mets and September?
