Happy July 4th 2008

I have put out my American Flag and our house now matches just about everyone on the street. We have a lot of former military and some current military on our street. If it starts to rain, I will bring my flag back in. I learned in Girl Scouts how to handle a flag and the various rules that to be followed.

We might be taking Caroline to one of the local parades today depending on the weather.

Later today we are helping some friends out by babysitting their little one so it will be a quiet afternoon and evening for us except the sound of neighbors shooting off fireworks all around us and the large display that is happening a couple of towns over. So I have to finish baby proofing the living room today.

I have cold chicken ready to go for dinner. I am going to make either macaroni salad or potato salad to go with the chicken and I have corn on the cob.
