I'm not kidding. The wind is pushing the rain sideways. It is confusing the heck out of the cats right now.
Speaking of cats, we have another one for a bit. Well really it is one coming back home after living with Gwen since he is her cat. His name is Treat Williams and he is going to be living in Peter's office since he no longer plays well with other cats. He is also know as the monster cat since he has always been bigger than the others. So we set up a space for him and he seems to be adjusting to it. He had me skritch his head for quite a while and I really need to brush out his fur which is very thick.
There are times I want to take a rolled up newspaper and thwap a professional or so called professional on the nose and say, "Bad professional. No biscuit for you." I know there is a fine line that professionals have to tread and that the advent of web logs have allowed for more immediate contact between the professional and fans but there comes a point that the net decided that you are bat-s**t crazy and the industry, which you so want to continue to work in, decides that you are toxic to them and drops you like a hot rock. Not that you had been doing much lately other than complaining on the net. And yes in my career I have worked with some real winners that I seriously though about ways to off them but didn't because it would be wrong and unprofessional of me to do so.
To my friends who are going through some hard times right now. Know that I am pulling for you and you are in my thoughts.
Peter's bowling equipment is back from Albuquerque right before our league this evening so this is a good thing. I think he has been feeling a bit out of sorts without it. It limited his choices for what he could bowl with.
I think I am going to be going to CostumeCon next year. It is in Baltimore and being run by some really great people. And it would give me a chance to do two costumes that really don't work anywhere else that I could show them at. I also might put some stuff in the doll show that they have. I could drive it so I would have to worry about planes and luggage. I thought of the second one after I bought a still from a film that had a good shot of the sleeve of the costume which got me to thinking. Again it is going to be finding the right material to pull this off which will make it hard.
Off to do some more cleaning before I go see my oral surgeon to make sure my tooth is OK and the rest of my mouth is healing. I will say that since I have had the surgery, my sinus problems have gone way down. I just noticed that the other day. I haven't had a bad sinus headache in a while. Which I am enjoying greatly.
I am grateful for Caroline's quick thinking and ingenuity.
