My First Review
May. 29th, 2008 08:25 amOne of the things waiting for us when we got back home was our author copies of Doctor Who: Short Trips: the Quality of Leadership in which I have a story called "On a Pedestal" and Peter has one called "One Fateful Knight". It is published by Big Finish and readily available in the UK. For getting a copy in the US, I recommend highly Mike's Comics who I can also highly recommend for all your Doctor book, audio, and toy needs.
And since I have something published, there is a chance that someone is going to review it which has already happened. You can see the review for the entire anthology on the website Unreality-Sf
The short review by DB aka Dan is as follows and of course any and all copyright to the material he wrote is his.
The Second Doctor returns with Jamie and Victoria in tow for Kathleen O. David's On a Pedestal, a breezy tale in which Jamie encounters his hero, William Wallace, who turns out to be a bit different than Jamie had imagined. It's a nice inconsequential piece with a fine portrayal of Jamie, and writing which evokes the Patrick Troughton era skillfully and with charm.
So there it is, my first review to go with my first published work without a co-writer.
I am grateful I had this chance to write this peice.
