It's Foggy
Jan. 11th, 2008 10:42 amWe had one heck of a thunderstorm move through the area last night. I got up at 3 AM and made sure that some of our more irreplaceable electronics were off and disconnected from the grid during the storm. We got a lot of rain in a very short time. I am almost scared how some of the areas that flood around here look which is one of the reasons I haven't gone off and done my errands. I think I am going to stick close to home today at least until I know that the roads have drained. Now we have very dense fog. I can see across the street but not a couple of houses up the street.
I got some more stuff done yesterday including reclaiming the living room from Caroline who had different areas set up for her difference animal groups. That sort of went a bit south this morning as she has re-set-up a couple of them. I will convince her to put stuff back that she is not using.
I also went through the pots and pans cabinet and pulled everything out. I got rid of most of it. I kept one big pot that I use as an extra water dish for the cats and a couple of pots that were in good condition which I put away for whoever needs them down the road. I was amazed at the number of lids I found for pots that no longer exist in our cabinets. I also found another casserole dish I didn't know I had but will be useful down the road.
Today will be about a few other odds and ends that need to get done. I need to go to a hardware store and get some glue, clamps or those large rubber bands you use to keep things that are glued together. We also need light bulbs as I watch another bulb go out. I want to go to a local cloth store and see if they have the fabric I need for a coat I want to make.
I am grateful that I got a cabinet done in my long term project of going through every cabinet and drawn and getting rid of stuff we don't need/use.
