That went about as well as I could have hoped. Caroline had fun. Caroline's party guests, both young and old, had fun. And the house is in not too bad a shape. Caroline made out like a bandit in the presents department.

She still has one on the way from my parents that I think she is really going to enjoy. It is a table and chairs sized for her. No more using the coffee table as a desk. I can remember how much I enjoyed the table and chairs that I had when I was her age. (Later: It arrived and I put it together for her. She loves it. She is currently sitting at the table and playing with the dolls her paternal grandparents got her. Her feet don't touch the ground at this point so this table and chair set has room to grow. The construction is solid and all the parts( bolts, washers, pilot holes) are made to metal. No plastic to strip and break here.)

We did one of the crafty activities I had the parts for. We made Princess Paper Bag puppets. All the girls made this project their own. The puppets were all so different. It was a creative group I had to work with and they listened for the most part to the instructions.

So that part of the year is done. Onto the rest of the Holidays now.

Giants won. Jets lost. Must be Sunday in New York. I really don't think that the Giants are going to make the playoffs. There are too many "if" and "only if this team loses". Yes, yesterday's win was a big one for the Giants but they could find themselves shut out if they don't keep up the pressure.

I am grateful that I can assemble things in a reasonable amount of time

Hmmm....where to begin. Pull up a chair kiddos this one is gonna be a bit of a history lesson about Science Fiction Fandom and Urban legends along with what I know about the real stories that go with the ones that run around fandom. Now to come clean, I am not going to flag the ones that I was directly involved for various reasons. And I will not be citing sources on these because some of this information was given to me was given to me rather than told in the group.

January: The Gregorian Calendar was instituted by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582 to solve some problems of the Julian Calendar including stopping the vernal equinox from slowly drift backwards in the calendar year and since Easter is on a lunar schedule, it kept the holiday in about the same position and puts in within the limits set by the Nicaea Council.

February: There's a phrase that immediately puts a lot of people on the defensive when it comes up in relationship conversations.

March: I have been thinking a lot about creativity, ideas and collaboration.

April: I am watching the Mets and Cardinals game right now and the Mets are up 2 to 0.

May: First to my various readers who celebrate various holidays on this day, I hope this day finds you well and you have a fine one.

June: "Strangers in Paradise" started for me with issue 3 published by Antarctic Press which was given to me by one of my fellow employees at Oxford Comics.

July: My sympathies to my readers in the UK.

August: One of the advantages of living in a smaller town where most of the businesses are not chains, especially the restaurants, is that you get to know the owners.

September: I did my Harry Potter costuming panel with one of my favorite costumers Aurora Celeste.

October: Normally I would call this a RTBTCKI but I have had a cup of coffee and am onto to my 1/2 cup so I do have some caffeine in my system.

November: (Just Imagine a Klingon saying it and you'll get the joke)

December: I think I blinked and the year came to the twelfth month.
