I am taking my repaired iBook out for a spin just to check it over and make sure everything is working. It was the logic board that was replaced yet again. With luck (knock on wood) it will last longer than 6 months because it will be our back-up laptop rather than my main computer. Peter and I picked it up this morning while running a couple of other errands. Boy I'm loving having an Apple Store within a not absurd drive from the house.

Peter and I also went to see PotC: At World's End again. Two views in the theater considering the cost of a ticket today is enough. We picked up on a lot of stuff that we hadn't seen the first time because we hadn't seen the movie yet and were trying to keep up with the plot. Peter really doesn't understand the two biggest complaints of reviewers that the plot was too convoluted (Heck it was easier to understand than what was going on in the second) and that the ending was unsatisfying (which tell me that *somebody* didn't stay all the ways through the credits to see the tag at the end). We will be getting the DVD in probably more than one of its incarnations.

It is nice enough outside that Caroline can play in the shade. She is playing with her stuffed doggies who are having an adventure in the grass chasing each other and playing hide and seek.

Interesting having used both the iBook and the MacBook today. I can remember the difference being quite different between my Mac portable and my other Mac laptop and then my iMac when I started using each of these but much less between these two. There is 5 years difference and the processor in the new one is much faster than the one in this machine but I haven't noticed much of a difference between the two in terms of my word processing and the Internet. Now that may be that right now my Internet collection is at a crawl because the neighborhood is on line so there is going to be less of a difference.

I am grateful to have all my computers working.
