Here is a funny Caroline story. It is hard to figure out what to tell a 4 year old about what happened the other night. She hears and understands much more than I think anyone gives her credit for and she is really good at picking up the emotions of the room. So she knows that Mommy went to see the Doctor because Mommy has a boo-boo inside her tummy (or rather this is her explanation to me about things). Yesterday evening she was bouncing around and bounced off my belly which kinda hurt. So I told her not to do that because it hurt. She looked at me and then took my hand and said with great gravitas in her voice, "You need to see Doctor Caroline." She took me into the kitchen and had me sit down on the chair where I take care of her boo-boos and asked me what kind of fun bandage I would like (Princesses, Ponies, Dora, or Sponge Bob) we decided on a Dora bandage which she then asked me to get for her. I gave her the bandage and she instructed me to show her my tummy. She then proceeded to put the bandage on my tummy and gave it a kiss and a loving pat and proclaimed it, "All better." She gave me a hug and then took my hand taking me back into the living room.

I was a good girl and sat most of yesterday. I think it helped because I am feeling better today. I don't plan to go full blast back into stuff rather ease in but I feel like I can do things today which is better than I was yesterday.

So one day at a time is how it is right now. I will gage what I can do based on how I feel.

Peter and I watched Blood Ties based on the Tanya Huff novels last night. We both liked it. I love the snappy dialogue and witty banter along with the fact that we were dropped in the middle of our heroine's situation and the writers didn't have an info dump or a narration going on to give us additional information. By the end of the two hours we knew a lot about the characters and a number of the dynamics were set up for future episodes. We are putting it on our list of things we want to watch.

I am grateful for Caroline's "bedside manner". She did make me feel better.
