Screamingly into Perspective

We found out through another friend that a good friend of the family is in the hospital and, barring a Miracle, probably won't be coming out for a long time if at all. We scrambled to get ourselves ready to go so we can visit while we are visiting Peter's parents over the weekend which was always part of our plan for the weekend. So prayers, good thoughts, positive karma, or whatever you believe in for our friend is greatly appreciated.

Makes a lot of the other stuff going on in life much less important right now. I sometimes forget how wonderful it is to be healthy or at least just minor aches and pains and discomfort. I'm not dealing with any sort of life threatening illness which others around me are either directly or indirectly. My mental health has been pretty stable. No more or less blue than I am usually this time of year. For that I am deeply grateful.

I'm off to finish the packing.
