A Pause in the season
Dec. 14th, 2006 09:58 amI am taking a breather today. One project was put off until May which is a good thing because I was trying to figure out how I was going to get all this done and get ready to go to Atlanta for Christmas without going insane. (Side note to my mother: we have the hotel sorted out and reserved.) Our house sitter is ready to go. I just need to make sure we have enough kibble for the cats.
I may dress Caroline and finish up some of my holiday shopping. I need to make a list to figure out what I have left to do. I would like to finish my shopping either today or tomorrow. Then comes the wrapping and the holidays. Hanukkah starts at sundown on Friday the 18th. Winter Solstice is December 21st into December 22nd. Christmas eve is of course Sunday the 24th. Yikes. It is a compact holiday season this year.
New Years is going to be our usual bowling extravaganza that we have been doing for a couple of years. Then we might be going to a friend's house for a party or we might just spend a quiet night at home just the family.
I am grateful for everything I already have done this year.
