For some strange currently unknown reason my leg hip is giving me problems. I have gone over everything I have done in the past week and can't really come up with anything unusual. The really weird thing is the couple of times it has left me in screaming agony, I wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary. First time I was walking from the living room to the kitchen. Then walking up a flight of stairs set it off. Monday it was bowling. I made it through my first game with a really good score and everything seemed fine until the 4th frame of the second game and then I just had to sit down and watch the rest of the game. It clears up by the next day and I'm fine.
I am so proud of Caroline. She was a bit stubborn about the potty training but now that she has it all down, she even gets up at night and goes to the potty then goes back to bed and back to sleep. We haven't had an accident in quite a while. Next we have to work on expanding her food choices.
She wants only one thing for her birthday and has been telling us since September about it. There is a My Little Pony that walks which came out a while back. She has informed us that she wants a "Walkie Pony" for her birthday. Nothing else has come up to supplant it. Peter thinks we should give it to her BEFORE the party since she will probably fixate on it and not open any other presents until she can play with it for a while.
The house is coming along. I tend to clean towards one part of the room and then deal with everything I didn't want to deal with at the end. I am down to that corner in the living room right now and then I move on to the kitchen and dining room. Our housekeeper managed to get Caroline's room back into shape with Caroline's help. Caroline is getting better at helping to clean up her own messes before being told that she is going to help. Right now our biggest debate is all the pandas in the living room along with the Simba family, the Heffalumps, and the various stuffed puppies she owns. I am trying to get it down to one stuff animal family only per day. She is big into creating family units.
Ariel has started her high school bowling season. She has practice every school day and tournaments on Fridays. She also has a couple of leagues she participated in as well as youth leaders for the LIBA. She is having fun with it.
Peter went into the city for a couple of meetings with various people. Not much I can say beyond that until some other things happen. I know I don't talk about his work often especially his comic book work. The reason for that is that I read the scripts as he finishes them so I am always a couple of months ahead of the readers and really can't talk about what I know. I will say that X-Factor #13 is out and if you liked issue he did back in the 80s when the group had to talk to Doc Sampson then you are really going to get into this issue. Also the Sachs & Violens graphic novel will be out shortly from DC comics so if you didn't get to read it back in the day, it's back. I will warn you that this was done of the adult epic line so there is graphic sex and violence depicted. Not a book for Peter's younger readers.
Off to deal with the next piece of the room.
I am grateful for Caroline's self-awareness.
