One of those mornings that I have a lot to do with just a little time to do it in. Most of this is my own making, heck I'll admit this is all of my making and I know I do this to myself. But I plan to get my costume done for tonight at bowling. My bowling partners and I are going as fairies to celebrate Halloween. We are going to get our sillies right out this year early. Then I can focus on getting the house ready for Halloween. I think I am going to try my local comic shop to see if they have some comic book boxes which will make giving the books out that much easier. If not I do have an alternative.

I lost and then found my new glasses about the point I had lost hope of find them and was about to buy another pair. If Caroline hadn't lost one of her small animal figures and I hadn't heard a cat batting something hard under the couch I probably wouldn't have. Hardest thing for me is to remember to use them when I am reading or on the computer. If I don't my eyes get very tired very fast. But I can't walk with them on since they blur the world so they don't stay on my nose all the time. This means that I am putting them down on vertical spaces and then forgetting which vertical space I put them on which leads to a 5 minutes hunt for the blasted things. Caroline will help me look for them and she is pretty good about finding them. However this has led to where if I leave them out of the case, she will very cheerfully hand me the glasses and inform me that she found them.

I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that people who go to a Ren Faire especially the established ones really don't understand why the goods are prices as they are. Apparently this also goes on at Doll Shows where people try to figure out how a doll is made so they can make one rather than buy it and no thank you they don't want to buy the pattern from you either. When a booth says no pictures please they are not saying no pictures except for you fraking cell phone. Ren Faire booths and doll show tables cost money and that has to be figured into the finally price. The booth runner(s) time cost money even if it is the owner. The creator's / artisan's time in creating the goods is worth some money. Then there is the cost of the materials to make the goods. Basic economics of a business but for some reason people don't see it that way.

I am grateful for people who do understand the economics of arts and crafts.
