Waking Up is Hard to Do
Aug. 18th, 2006 09:33 amNot a great start to the morning this morning. I couldn't fall asleep and once I was asleep last night I kept waking up on the half hour so I never did really fall asleep. Peter got up and took care of Caroline so I could try to get some more sleep. Except the cats snuck into the bedroom and wanted to be petted. They finally settle down and I drifted back to sleep only to have Caroline come into the room and wish me a very cheery good morning. Peter got her to come downstairs but she slammed the bedroom door so the cats went back to nap mode until Vanilli needed out so he woke me up after I finally got back to sleep. So I am a little tired this morning even though Peter tried to let me sleep in.
I got a bunch done on the puppets. I hope to have all the bodies together by Monday. Today is going to be telling whether I can get enough done to be ready for DragonCon. Which is now two weeks away. Yikes! But I will make it. I know I will. Or I will just get done what I can and call it a day. I am trying to figure out how much more I can do in the next two weeks.
Ariel is rereading her way through all the Harry Potter books published so far. She is picking up on things in the earlier books that are more important in the later ones. She is finding this an interesting exercise. She just finished reading the Diane Duane's Young Wizard series which she really enjoyed. I think she is going to read "The Devil wears Prada" next. I'm trying to convince her to read Lackey's Arrows for the Queen if I can find all the books in the series among my collection.
I am grateful for Peter's efforts this morning to let me get some more sleep.
