Jun. 28th, 2006 08:11 amThe yellow ball went away again replaced with high winds and lots of rain. No Thunder so far but I am not holding my breath. Ariel, Peter and I plan to see "Superman returns" today. We have our tickets and babysitter lined up. It is a really good day for it.
Mets just couldn't get it together last night. I am hoping for better tonight. The Braves beat the Yankees which ended their losing streak. What happened to the Braves this year? Are we calling it a rebuild year?
Right now it is possible for Argentina to play Brazil in the final of the World Cup. I think another fun semi final would be Brazil playing Portugal since there would be no language barrier there. Of course there are the fun flashback to WWII European options of Germany playing Italy and England playing France leading to England playing Germany or the Germans playing the French or the English having a go at Italy. I still think a South American country is going to win the whole thing.
I hope Larry Brown squeezes every penny he is owed by Dolan and then some. Thomas is not in an enviable position right now since he has been given what his future employment by the Kicks hinges on. I just wonder how much more Dolan is going to have to pay him at the end of the season.
Caroline has hit that magic age where she has become obsessed with Dinosaurs. She loves looking at books about Dinosaurs. She can name a number of them off her Diego and the Dinosaur DVD. I think if I got her a bunch of plastic dinos she would be very happy right now. She still plays with her My Little Ponies and her stuff animals are all parts of families so they have to travel in sets. She tried to bring every Bear she owns downstairs but we stopped her at about 15. I am still trying to figure out how one little girl got so many bears.
Ariel has been making hemp bracelets and chokers. She got a new book of patterns and knots and wanted to try them out. She is quite crafty with them.
I need to go fabric shopping today to get the material I need for an outfit for Mystery Trekkie Theater this year. Which will be Sunday afternoon NOT Sunday morning so adjust your schedule accordingly. I am really looking forward to Shoreleave this year. Caroline may not understand why she is not in the costume call this year. Maybe I throw something together so she can walk across the stage which she loves to do. *off to look at Stargate photos*
I am grateful for my daughter's growing interest in a number of subjects.
