Where did May Go?

Peter is fighting a cold and I am fighting what seem to be allergies. There are days that I wish I could sit down with my body and have a long talk about what we need to do so that the body will work correctly and without pain. The sinus headaches I have been having have been murder in my head. My focus is shot which is not a good thing because I have a number of things I need to concentrate on for what is left for the month.

One thing is the previously mentioned anniversary. 5 years ago I was at my parents house in Atlanta getting ready for my wedding. There was the final fitting of my dress and all the details that go with a wedding. My mother kept me moving in the right direction all week or I think I would have been spinning in circles. I talked to Peter a couple of times a day. I didn't have any doubts that I wanted to marry him. I was more concerned that I was going to trip on my dress and fall flat on my butt during the ceremony. I have always been a bit of a klutz. Peter was still checking up on details for the hotel where we would be staying at. He worked out the transportation of the guests and the hotel accommodations for everyone. I think it kept him busy before the big day. This year we are going to see a preview for X-men 3 and have a nice dinner just the two of us. Sometimes we are such fan geeks.

We watched more Dinosaurs the other night including a two-parter called "Nuts to War" which was produced during or right after the Persian Gulf War and was a parody of "Winds of War" which was a popular mini-series at the time. WAR stood for "We Are Right" and they were fighting over their right to snack food. It still holds up. Now I have to remember the episode which ended with one of the funniest PSAs I have ever seen. "Don't do drugs so we don't have to do silly episodes about not doing drugs."

We are cheering for Taylor on American Idol. What ever happens we bet that this will move his career to the next level. I guess I shouldn't be amazed how much they are drawing this whole thing out this week.

Ah May Sweeps. Alias ending was OK. Anyone got a copy of the Charm season/series ender? Our VCR screwed up due to a power glitch. Desperate Housewives ended with answers and more questions to be explored next year. LOST finishes out tomorrow night and the producers have been giggling about it for about a month which makes me interested as to what they are going to do. Doctor Who (Chris Eccelston version) finishes on a two parter and ties the season up very well. I think Wheadon spoiled us for the overall arc of a season.

I am grateful for any clear head I have today.
