Released unharmed

American Journalist Jill Carroll is coming home. She was freed today in Baghdad and taken to the American Embassy. Her family says there are not words to describe how much relief they feel right now. Recently 3 Christian Workers were released as well. The 4th member of the party's body had been found. He had been tortured and killed. These 5 people were in Iraq to help the people. Ms. Carroll was well known for being very even handed in her stories. This kind of idiocy of kidnapping those who want to help has been going on for as long as there has been recorded history and probably a bit before that too. It doesn't leave the kidnappers in a very good light to anyone. I really hope that this is the end of it but there is probably someone being kidnapped in Iraq right now. The idiocy continues.

I got my Easter Basket Swap done yesterday which is plenty of time for it to get to its new owner. I love the challenges and swaps that this group of fiber artists comes up with. I have a little more picking up to do today and I will be all ready for my parents to arrive for a visit. I need to go out to the studio and bring in one of my Broadway Bears that is needed for an awards ceremony next week. I think I can get to it. I do know that once it comes in I plan to find a space for it here rather than out there.

I am tired of coughing. My sides hurt from it. I have taken cough medicine but it is only dulling the cough rather then getting rid of it. I figure in another day or so I will be fine and this cold will be but a memory. Caroline is getting better which makes me happy. If it does get up into the high 60s I plan to take her out to the park. We're not going to Mommy and Me since she had a fever yesterday and I prefer not to take her out until she has been fever free for 24 hours.

I am grateful when people are sensible.
