Farpoint 2006 Out of the Closet

I am doing this past weekend in a few entries that I will be posting as I get each done so there is a good chance that I might post more than once today. There is an equally good chance that I might not. Such is life.

OK Masquerade Entry # 12 entitles Out of the Closet.

I enter from Stage Right to a few gasps and mutterings

Voiceover by Mr. David Keffer (one of the best MC's ever) and written by Peter David (the best husband ever and also one of the best MC's ever)
"The Mugato one of the most dreaded creatures in the universe. Its poison claws and ferocious bite also makes it one of the deadliest. There is nothing that this creature fears...well maybe something...."

Off-Stage we hear "Kitty!"

I react in fear and on comes Caroline dressed as Boo while carrying a little Mike toy. She chases me off the stage and down the aisle.

One small snafu. The music cue was suppose to execute when David finished speaking but it fired when he started speaking which gave away a bit of the gag but the audience loved it anyway.

Second thing we learned is that Caroline takes her cues very seriously. We told her to chase Mommy and until I started to run she didn't come on.

We won 3rd place in Champions Cup and Judges choice for Most Humorous.

Music starts up it is "Lucy and Linus" aka "The Peanuts Theme"

Mr. Keffer starts bobbing his head to the beat side to side and most of the audience joins in.

Out walk a Ghost and the Lucy Witch Costume

Lana (Ghost): How did you do at the last house Lois?

Lois (Witch): I got a Three Musketeers Bar. How about you Lana?

Lana: I got a bag of chips.

Enter a Second Ghost

Lois: How about you Smallville?

Kent: I got a Clark Bar.

Lois: Uh-oh. Here comes that bald rounded headed kid.

Enter a Third Ghost in a Charlie Brown sheet (lots of holes)

Kent: Hey Lex, what did you get?

Lex pulls out a glowing green object from his bag

Lex: I got a Rock.

Clark falls to the floor like a wet sack of laundry

Blackout

This one won second place in Champion's Cup and Judges Choice for Best Presentation. Overall not a bad night's work.
