Did they even take their Driver's test?
Jan. 14th, 2006 10:46 amOK quick Driver's Education question for the class. There is fog so thick that you can't see one block in either direction. It is daytime. Should you turn your headlights on? The answer is YES YOU IDIOTS! The fog was so bad yesterday that driving was a challenge and everyone should have slowed down for weather conditions. The biggest hazard were the drivers who did not turn on their headlights. You could only see them at the very last minute due to the fog.
Needless to say we didn't travel yesterday unless we had to. I had to because I finally got a Doctor's appointment to look at my ears, nose and throat. Sinus infection yet again. The doctor said one more like this and he is writing this condition as chronic sinus infection. I am limited to what I can take due to my allergy to penicillin. So I have a follow up in two weeks.
The fog has given away to rain. It makes for a rather gloomy day. I think I am going to have a play-doh fest with Caroline this morning. She loves playing with it and her cousins got her a fun factory set that will allow her to do all kinds of new things. Ariel has bowling and more bowling today. We might go out as a group to her tourney this afternoon or I might just stay home with Caroline.
A friend of mine was let go from his job for a rather bogus reason to me. It had to do with a screw up in a book. There were some denizens of the Internet who requested his head on a platter for the screw up. Now they are saying that they didn't really mean that honestly they didn't. Well it happened and I hope they carry that feeling that they screwed up someone else's life for a while and that it makes them think a wee bit more before hitting that enter button. I got a screwed up copy of KotDT:Bundles of Trouble 14 the other day. I didn't know there was a problem until I got to the end. It is missing a page and then an entire signature (a section of a book consisting of a folded sheet with several pages printed on it). Did I go on a tear on the web ripping Kenzer and Co for bad product? No I plan to return it to the comic book shop where I purchased it and trade it in for another copy. If it is a problem with the print run, I'll inform the company that I have a defective copy and would like a correct one. From the look of the binding, I think the signature didn't get glued in and probably fell out somewhere during the process. These things happen. We are only human.
I am grateful for molehills that remain molehills.
