No Nose

Caroline has a really bad cold. She hates her nose running and for the first time in her life she is letting me wipe it without protest. She also really doesn't like coughing but is getting better about putting her hand in front of her mouth when she does it. The sneezing fits have her just confused as to what to do. She is a sick little girl who needs hugs and tissues.

There are times I really don't like the Internet. A friend posted some pictures and I tried to, in a humorous way I thought, pay them a compliment upon how they looked. They took it as I was being sarcastic and I am sorry that they did. If they had heard my voice saying what I wrote, they would have known that I was complimenting them. The emoticons don't work for me so I don't use them. I think in this case that wouldn't have worked either. Tone is hard to convey without a voice. I know that some writers do this very well but they have more verbiage to work with to set it up.

Peter has started work on his Battlestar Galactica novel. I am interested in reading it when he is done. After that he has a few other projects he needs to write. Writing-wise this is going to be a busy year for him. I have a short term project I am starting on today. I really can't say much more than that now but will be able to say more later.

I am grateful for new opportunities.
