Christmas Eve
Dec. 24th, 2005 10:29 amWe're here and settled. Caroline fell asleep about 10:00 and didn't stir until 8:00 so that is 10 solid hours for her. This probably means that there is not a nap in the offing today which is fine.
This is going to be a quiet day. One errand to run and shopping is done. I am going to enjoy my time with my family. My mother has the house decorated for Christmas. The dime has dropped for Caroline as to who Santa is and that he brings presents on Christmas. We are still working on the "It's Jesus' Birthday" side of the equation. I figure the best way is to try and introduce her to--and get her to understand--the baby figure in my parent's nativity scene. To get her to understand that Christmas is about the birth of an important baby, and not Santa...or at least not JUST Santa.
I am grateful for family time.
